About Asphalt Calculator

We built Asphalt Calculator because getting a reliable estimate for a paving project shouldn't require guesswork. Whether you're planning a driveway, estimating a parking lot, or comparing material quantities, our goal is to provide practical planning tools that are free and easy to use.

🛣️

Built for Real Planning

Instant calculations using commonly accepted paving formulas.

Why We Built This

Most people planning an asphalt project run into the same problem: material calculations depend on area, thickness, density, and mix type that aren't always easy to convert manually.

We created focused calculators that handle these conversions instantly so you can make informed planning decisions before speaking with a contractor.

What You'll Find Here

Our tools help estimate tonnage, driveway material, parking lot requirements, volume conversions, thickness recommendations, overlays, hot mix quantities, project costs, millings, and sealcoating coverage.

How We Keep Our Numbers Accurate

Our default planning values-such as the commonly used 145 lb/ft³ density for compacted hot mix asphalt-are based on widely accepted industry reference values.

Every calculator lets you adjust density, thickness, and other inputs when your project's specifications differ from the standard planning value.

What We're Not

Planning estimates only

We're not a paving company, and we don't sell asphalt. The figures provided by our calculators are planning estimates-not contractor quotes or engineering specifications.
